Team Innova Captain, Ken Climo, led the charge at the Masters Cup, and captured his second, overtime NT victory of the season. Ken’s teammates followed suit. Matt Orum, Dave Feldberg, Josh Anthon, and Nathan Sexton all secured top 10 spots. Carrie “Burl” Berlogar and Valarie Jenkins went 1-2 in Pro Women. Newly acquired player, Patrick Brown and Phil Arthur went 1-2 in Masters, and Dr. Rick Voakes grabbed the Sr. Grandmasters title.

The impressive Innova showing at the Santa Cruz Masters Cup starts the west coast NT swing off to a great start. Ken's win gives him the lead in the NT points race. The Masters Cup is one of the classic events in disc golf. The DeLaveaga course offers ocean breezes, towering hardwoods, and technically challenging golf among the California hills. A smooth Cali vibe make this tournament a mini-major year after year.
Elsewhere this weekend, Kris Orrick, Joe Rovere, and Brian Schweberger racked up wins, and Aleksey Bubis finished second at the Sarasota Sky Pilots Open.
Expect another loaded field in Portland as everyone now heads north for the Beaver State Fling, another hallmark event on the PDGA Pro Tour.
