Team Innova was playing across the country and around the world this week. In Maryland, Ricky Wysocki continued his hot streak to win the A -Tier Patapsco Open. Teammate Paul Ulibarri started slow but finished strong to claim second place. Mike Moser finished in fifth. Down South, at the Craven Chains Classic in North Carolina, David Wiggins Jr. led the entire time, but had an amazing fourth round to clinch the victory. Terry Gallops finished in second and Brian Schweberger completed the Innova sweep in third.
Around the country, Innova team members did well at their respective state Championships. For the third year in a row, Joe Rovere won the Colorado State Championships. Nathan Sexton repeats as the Oregon State Champion while Kyle Crabtree won the Washington State Championships. Across the globe, Karl Johan Nybo took top honors at the Danish Championships. Simon Lizotte won the Vesec Open in Czech Republic.
Next weekend, the United States Women’s Disc Golf Championship will be held again in Huntsville, Alabama. The USWDGC is a PDGA Major event. The Rocket City Chain Gang is no stranger to hosting PDGA Major events. They hosted the 2008 USWDGC as well as two PDGA World Championships in 1983 and 1993. Good Luck to all the ladies competing.
