Memorable Win:
09 Denver Classic, it was the first tournament I went in with hopes of actually winning, shot a -18 the first round and had a 6 stroke lead and never looked back.
Advice:
I don’t have a course within an hour of my house so I have no choice but to practice in a field, and what a blessing. I highly doubt I could have learned as quickly on a course, there’s too much temptation to play instead of practice. I bought two innova discatcher baskets and put them in my yard, for me zoning out and practicing putting for hours at a time is a form meditation.
Goals:
Long term: top ten at Pro worlds and USDGC Short term: continue to improve at a rapid pace and learn a fairway driver. I only have high speed drivers, rocs, and putters. I want to completely understand the leopard and teebird because there has been too many holes where an accurate driver is necessary and I just didn’t have the shot and everyone else in my group threw a leopard or a teebird……and then I was Bob.
Additional comments:
Practice putting, then when you feel comfortable, practice more putting.
