Disc Spotlight: The Fox

Outfox the Trees

The Fox is an understable, glide-driven Mid-Range that carries farther than expected. It’s built for players who like to let the disc do the work.

Why the Fox Works

Flight Numbers
5 / 6 / -2 / 1

The Fox has the profile and wide diameter of a Mid, but carries forward more like a Fairway Driver. Think of it as a fast five-speed. Thrown with moderate power and a touch of hyzer, the Fox flips to flat, turns gently, and then fades forward toward the target — long flights without much right-to-left movement.

In the woods, that matters. The Fox is comfortable living on narrow lines, not drifting off early or dumping out late. On tight tunnels and low ceilings, it slyly slips through the gap. From a standstill or awkward footing, the glide makes up for lost power.

Who It’s For

The Fox has proven to be an every-skill-level disc. In the 2025 Innova Disc Golf Survey, it ranked among our top five most popular Mid-Ranges, just months after release. That’s a strong signal that it’s clicking with a wide range of players.

For developing disc golfers, the Fox offers “free” distance through glide, without needing perfect form or extra arm speed. For experienced players, it’s a precision tool — especially useful for smooth, straight shots inside 300 feet and gentle turnovers.

What the Fox Is Made Of

The Fox is available in Star and Halo Star, Innova’s two most popular plastics. It also comes in Duo, our latest innovation that combines Star and Metal Flake materials in a single disc with a distinct color split. Halo Star and Duo Foxes fly with a touch more stability, adding control while maintaining the Fox’s glide-forward flight.

Fly Sly

When the fairway tightens up and brute force isn’t the play, the glide and control of the Fox step in.
