We are excited to announce that Truls Vik has joined Innova Disc Golf as the new European Team Manager (ETM). A native of Tomrefjord, Norway, Truls comes to Innova with knowledge of European disc golf and a wealth of experience as a tour manager for musicians.
So when we started talking about the possibilities of me filling such a position, I really enjoyed thinking about building a team, helping players perform at their best.

Truls picked up disc golf in 2019 and was immediately hooked. He didn’t hesitate to compete, playing in Norwegian tour events and even playing alongside the famed Game of Thrones actor, Kristofer Hivju. Truls recalls, “He was pretty new as well and we started playing at every regional tournament. We always played on the same card after the first round and I got to know him on a personal level.”
As a welcoming people person, Truls built strong relationships with several European disc golfers and made fast friends inside Innova. In 2022, he toured the U.S. with European Team Innova athletes and met Sam Ferrans, Innova’s Partnerships Manager. The two would cross paths again at PCS Sula Open in Norway, and again at the 2023 Las Vegas Challenge. “Truls is a perfect fit to join Innova. He’s an organized, passionate man with a plan. Our entire team here at Innova is looking forward to working with Truls and growing disc golf in Europe,” says Ferrans.

Focused on the European disc golf market, Truls will maintain strong relationships with Team Innova athletes, scout prospective talent, and respond to incoming requests for athlete and ambassador sponsorships. He’ll work closely with the Innova Global Team Manager, Joe Rotan, to establish a proposed team roster for future seasons and collaborate with international team managers to ensure consistency across all regions. In addition to his team management role, you’ll see Truls at notable European events to provide team support, assist with athlete media productions, and engage on social media.
