A League of Her Own
Three straight tournaments, three times leading the field after regulation. Since completing the Career Grand Slam at the European Open, Eveliina Salonen has been playing the best disc golf of her career. One week after shooting a 1041-rated final round to force a four-hole playoff at the Swedish Open, she left no doubt at the Ale Open. Eveliina cruised to a 15-stroke victory, the largest winning margin on tour in over five seasons. Calvin Heimburg recorded his second straight runner-up finish, Rebecca Don continued her strong summer with another Top 10, and Rasmus Saukkoriipi earned his first-ever DGPT Elite Series or Major Top 10 finish.Eveliina Salonen – 1st
Just one week after carding the highest-rated round of her career to force a playoff at the Swedish Open, Eveliina Salonen turned the Ale Open into a runaway. Her 15-stroke victory is the largest margin of victory on the Disc Golf Pro Tour in at least the last five seasons and another statement in what has quickly become the hottest stretch in FPO this season.Salonen brought the elite driving she’s always been known for. She led the field in Fairway Hits, Circle 1 Hits in Regulation, Circle 2 Hits in Regulation, and Strokes Gained Tee to Green. But the biggest difference came on the putting green. After years of being known primarily for her power and precision, Eveliina has added top-tier putting to her arsenal. She finished third in the field in Strokes Gained Putting. On the final day, she never gave the rest of the field an opening, capping the tournament by sinking all 11 of her Circle 1 putts. Her dominant performance earned a 1026 event rating, the second-highest FPO event rating in PDGA history. Despite playing at least two fewer events than every player currently ahead of her in the DGPT standings, Salonen already sits in sixth. Even that impressive ranking understates the season she’s having. She has three victories and has finished outside the Top 10 just once in 2026.View this post on Instagram
Calvin Heimburg – T2
Calvin Heimburg continued his sneaky-good season with a second consecutive runner-up finish. He remains in third in the DGPT standings. Since the end of March, Vinny has finished outside the Top 10 at just one DGPT Elite Series or Major.View this post on Instagram
Rebecca Don – 6th
Rebecca Don is heating up this summer, landing her third Top 10 finish in the last four events. In round 2, she connected on the longest throw-in of the event, from outside Circle 2 to save par on Hole 6.View this post on Instagram
Rasmus Saukkoriipi – T10
Rasmus Saukkoriippi reached a career milestone by earning his first-ever DGPT Elite Series or Major Top 10 finish. He led the field in Fairway Hits and Circle 2 Hits in Regulation.View this post on Instagram
