Robert Burridge Shreds the 2022 Des Moines Challenge
At last weekend’s 2022 Trubank Des Moines Challenge, Team Innova’s Robert Burridge, a player who was competing in the Amateur division less than a year ago, faced off against Simon Lizotte in a playoff that will go down in disc golf history. After surprising the field by making the final day lead card, Burridge doubled down on what had already been an impressive tournament. He shot the hot round of the final day at 11 under par and made 100% of his inside the circle putts. That was enough to push Burridge and Lizotte into a four-hole playoff that will be remembered as one of the hardest fought battles ever by an athlete so new to the MPO division. Robert Burridge took second place, averaging nearly 50 rating points above his player rating for the tournament, and more than doubling his total career earnings with this single event.

Record-Breaking Ace
Earlier this week at Northcove Disc Golf Course in Marion, North Carolina, Caleb Hall crushed his Star Destroyer 611-feet from the teepad of hole 14 straight into the heart of the chains. His ace at Northcove was over 80 feet farther than the Guinness Book of World Records farthest ever recorded ace. Caleb Hall might have thrown the longest ace in disc golf history!
