Memorable Win:
2010 Pro Worlds - This was an amazing week on so many levels. The courses suited me well, the weather was great, and I was invited to stay at a house 4 miles from the course with all the Charlotte guys. I played well all week, and was motivated by a deal that my friend Brandon had made with me before I left South Carolina. He said he would drive up to Indiana with my friend Christine and my boyfriend Aaron if I was leading going into the last day of the tournament. I'm not sure how excited he was to drive 12 hours through the night, but I was thrilled to have them there for my win on Saturday.
Advice:
Absolutely learn how to throw backhand and sidearm. You need both to reach the next level of your game. Also when you are working on your weaker throw, focus on accuracy first and distance second.
Goals:
Have a year worthy of winning player of the year
Additional comments:
I would like to thank my friend Jenn Smith for first introducing me to the game, John Nisewonder for giving me the confidence that I could actually compete in tournaments, and my parents for watching whenever they can.
Zephyr
The Zephyr is a must have approach disc for players used to throwing the big lids. If you played other Frisbee sports before you played disc golf, or are just used to playing catch, the Zephyr will help you make the transition.
Hydra
Short upshot onto an island green? Afraid to lose your favorite approach disc? The Hydra is here! Easy to control and floats on water.
Cheetah
The Cheetah is everyone's MUST HAVE beginnier driver. It is the best driver to help you work on your control without sacrificing distance.
