First Elite Event Abroad

This weekend, the Disc Golf Pro Tour heads to Norway for the first ever Elite Event held outside of the United States. The 2023 PCS Open presented by Innova will take place at Øverås Diskgolfpark, one of the top rated courses in the world. The following weekend, the tour will head to Nokia, Finland for the second Major of the year, the 2023 European Open. For players not going to Europe, this leg of the tour provides a chance to rest, reconnect with family and friends, and get ready for the end of the year Elite+, Playoff, and PDGA Major events.

2023 KC Wide Open Recap

Many players decided to take last weekend’s Silver Event in Kansas off to leave time to get ready for Europe. That said, Team Innova’s Emily Beach was there and getting work done. She finished in 9th, her sixth top ten so far this season. Emily led the field in Scramble rate, was 3rd in Fairway Hit percentage, and had the lowest OB rate in the FPO. Emily will be staying in the States during the European tour stretch so she should be well-rested, practiced, and eager to get back to competition come Ledgestone.
