Every USDGC Champion Had to Qualify First

The road to the United States Disc Golf Championship and Throw Pink Women’s Disc Golf Championship starts long before players arrive at Winthrop. Qualifying begins even before the first Pro Tour event of the season. And while much of the attention at those tournaments goes to the podium, some of the most meaningful moments unfold around the qualifying cutline, where a single shot can be the difference between playing in Rock Hill and watching from the sidelines. For many who earn their spot, qualifying alone is one of the crowning achievements of their season.

Opportunities Across a Global Tour

The 2026 qualifying schedule reflects the continued growth of disc golf worldwide. With a mix of Elite events, PDGA Majors, and A-Tiers spread across North America and Europe, players have multiple paths to secure an invitation — whether they’re touring full-time or targeting a key event or two closer to home.

As always, past USDGC and Throw Pink champions receive automatic registration, along with top finishers from last year’s championships. Winners of select protected-division events are also invited, while Monday Qualifying remains the final chance to earn a spot at Winthrop.
