Disc Golf Clubs

Park departments across the country have been pleasantly surprised at the level of enthusiasm shown by most disc golf clubs. Clubs often engage in park clean up, course maintenance, and charity work related to their local events. Weekly and monthly singles and doubles tournaments bring golfers out to challenge their fellow players. A random doubles format is exceedingly popular as it may pair a beginner with a pro, allowing beginners to both learn and win in a fun positive environment. Churches and camps have also installed disc golf courses to great success. Boy Scout troops have installed courses as community service projects.
Disc golf has two annual global events. The World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend takes place on nearly 200 courses around the world in Mid-May. The Ice Bowl happens in late January and early February to promote disc golf solidarity and raise funds for local food banks.
